To create a subdomain in cPanel, you can use the "Subdomains" feature in the "Domains" section. Here are the steps to follow:
- Log in to your cPanel account.
- In the Domains section, click on the "Domains" icon.
- In the "Create a Domain" section, enter the name of the subdomain you want to create in the "Domain" field.
- In the "Document Root" field, you will see the folder where the subdomain's files will be stored. You can leave this as it is, unless you want to change the location.
- Click on the "Create" button to create the subdomain.
To delete a subdomain, follow these steps:
- Log in to your cPanel account.
- In the Domains section, click on the "Domains" icon.
- Locate the subdomain you want to delete and click on the "Delete" button next to it.
- A prompt will appear asking you to confirm the deletion, click "Delete"
Please note that deleting a subdomain will also delete all the files and folders within that subdomain, so make sure you have a backup if you wish to keep those files. Also, it may take some time for the changes to take effect.
Furthermore, please note that creating a subdomain is not the same as creating a new website, it's just a way to organize content and to make it easier to access. The subdomain will share the same resources (bandwidth, storage, etc.) as the main domain.
